Pocket door with soft closing mechanism

The pocket door consists of a sliding glass door and sliding- and maintenance rails mounted to the top of the gap, to the ceiling. The door slides inside the wall on the rail which continues into the wall fixture. A high quality sliding mechanism, as well as a floor guide fitting provides a smooth and safe door movement. The door is equipped with one soft closing mechanism which cushions the closing and gently pulls the door into it's closed position.

For pocket doors, the installation profile needs to be mounted to the ceiling prior to closing up the wall into which the door will slide. The standard installation profile requires a total gap width of at least 2000 mm, and at least 48 mm empty space between the walls (rail itself needs 66 mm). Ceilingprofiles should be mounted to 48 mm higher than intended gap height. After mounting the installation rail, the wall can be closed up. Alternatively the installation can be done first, and the wall closed up after that. Wheel carriage and stoppers should be mounted to the sliding rail before mounting it to the installation rail. The sliding rail should be secured to the installation rail with screws in the doorway. The door should then be tilted, lift to place and locked after which the floor guide is slid into place and glued to the floor. Lastly mount the cover profiles.

The white (RAL 9016), black (RAL 9005), Sand (RAL 1019) and Mocha (RAL 8025) surface treatment options are manufactured by powder coating. The fittings used in the product, are made of painted brass alloy.

The product is manufactured of 6mm thick tempered safety panel (EN 12150). Transparent, super bright, grey and brown are smooth surfaced and transparent panels. Reeded and satin panels are not fully transparent, details cannot be made out through the panel. The reeded glass is smooth on one side and textured on the other. One side of the satin panel is etched to acquire a velvety feel and the other side is smooth. When choosing a satin panel product, bear in mind that the etched surface of the panel is sensitive to scratches and stains.

The pocket door is always manufactured according to custom dimensions. When ordering, enter actual width of door gap and actual height of door gap. The mounting rails will require 48 mm space above the actual gap, inside the wall. Please note, that the free passage will be approximately 160 mm smaller than the entered gap, due to the handle needing to be reachable. The mounting rail will always require at least 2000 mm width, including the doorway and the part inside the wall, if the rails aren't cut during mounting (possible, if door is less than 950 mm).
